With the introduction of the ULS PLS Laser Cutter to our repertoire of tools, we are able to teach members how to use this incredible machine through a workshop aimed at making coasters. One such member used this as opportunity to make custom-designed coasters for friends and family. This particular member, being American University staff, is well versed in the design features of Microsoft Publisher. She was able to quickly create a number of clever designs that could be translated to the laser cutter's CAM software. Some of the results are shown below.
